    How it works

Every product, not just a few

We list every UK product in an aisle that has its label recorded on Open Food Facts, the free, open food database built by volunteers. Values are per 100g, so a big pack and a small pack compare fairly.

    You choose what "best" means

Sort by protein, sugar, salt, fibre, calories, additives or ingredient count, and leave out allergens or ingredients you avoid. Your choices are remembered on this device.

    What the colours mean

Green, amber and red are the UK front-of-pack traffic lights for fat, saturates, sugar and salt per 100g. The lettered badge is the Nutri-Score, A (best) to E.

    Never sponsored

No brand pays to rank higher. Rankings come only from what is printed on the pack. Data can contain mistakes, so always check the label, especially for allergies.
